Just Sharing

Good day!

What a busy month April has been for me, and I wasn't able to update this blog ...I was meaning to share some LOs but wasn't able to because I was job hunting these past few months..and thank God I will now be working again after four years of staying at home and taking care of my daughter..I will be teaching again in my previous school where I worked for 2 years. I will be missing the everyday bonding between me and my daughter but this will be for her also...

So, to make my blog alive again, I would like to share the very first LO I made using our family picture.. (since my husband used to work abroad for less than two years, we haven't had time to take decent fam pic...and so I grabbed the opportunity when he came home recently)

So here is my FIRST family LO...

I used American Crafts papers for this LO (esp. dear lizzy collection) the cut out trees were from My Little Shoe Box paper..and just added minimal embellishments. The lace trim is originally white, but wanted it in a different color so I misted it with green..and it standout from the background paper.

So there it is. Hope you like it...

National Scrapbooking Day-Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrapbook Challenges-National Scrapbooking Day Blog Hop!This hop will last until May 8. I hope you are enjoying the hop so far.. Please make sure to start the hop over at Brynn's place.

I hope you have visited  Deb before coming here too!

So for this very special Blog Hop, the DTs were asked to choose a particular sketch made by Pamela Young,  founder of Scrapbook Challenges, who decided to take some time off and focus with her Family. Without Pamela, SC will not be what it is right now...inspiring fellow scrapbookers with fun challenges and opening a warm place for crafters to learn and discover new friends.

Our task is to make an 8x8 inspirational layout using the sketch we picked.

So this is the sketch I used...sketch # 181

And this is what I made.....

I love how this turned out...just some alterations with the sketch...
The quote is something I really like right now..a mantra that is so powerful, it would make someone  the strongest person during a problem. I actually made it my cellphone wallpaper so that I'd always read it and imbibe the meaning of it.  I chose my LO to be simple so that the focus is on the message of the quote.

So I hope you've been inspired by my LO... now for the wonderful RAKs up for grab....
