The Monochromatics Challenge

Good day everyone!

Have you been creating lately? Well, how about trying to create some cards for the Moxie Fab World Color Inspiration Challenges?

Today I'm going to share to you the card I made for the Monochromatics Challenge using these wonderful color combo...

When I saw these oh-so-lovely colors...I know I'm going to have to play with matter how busy I am lately.  So let me introduce to you my sweet card for today....

I am so into anything that is pink..(well, I have a little girl, that explains it! ) And so..I enjoyed making this particular card...perfect for making a little girl happy, right?

I have a little story for you about the tag label in this card...I have a's NOT die cutted! And I still love it!

Here's the story....I saw this very cute cellphone pouch in a local store here..and thought I'd buy it for my cp. When I look for the price, I was so delighted! Not that the pouch has a reasonable price, but the price tag itself! Yes, the price tag is shaped like that label tag in my card...and so, I didn't think twice and bought it! (Now, I don't know if I really wanted the cp pouch or the price tag...yay!)

When I came home...I took the tag in no time and began using it as a pattern..and hand cut every piece! I am proud of my little pattern........really! But of course, someday I'll buy myself a nice set of label dies...needs to save for it! lol!

So there you go...hope you like the card....or maybe the little story I share? Anyways, thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!

Goals in 2011

Hi friends! Hope you're having a wonderful time. Thought I'd share to you a layout I made with the help of a challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges.  It's the "word prompt" challenge issued by my fellow DT, Dani...

The challenge is to make a layout from the line "I will ______________ in 2011"..I thought it's a nice opportunity for me to make a layout which will remind me of what I will do or want to achieve this year.

So here is my take....

(ooppss...sorry for the not-so-wonderful pic..)

The journaling says....

Productive in 2011
This year I want to be more productive...
...create more...
cook regularly...
work-out and be fit...
..have some nice books to read... organized..
find a job and help raise the family...

Maybe you could try doing a layout like this..and be on track of your own goals this year...

Thanks for stopping by..have a good day ahead!

Moxie Fab World--The Bright and Bold Challenge

Have you been to the Moxie Fab World lately? Well, if you haven't, you should spend some time browsing over there and be inspired by their Color Combinations Challenges. This is to celebrate the release of their new special issue of Color Inspiration Magazine. You will be amazed by the wonderful works of different designers playing with sets of challenging color combos.

And for today, I am sharing to you my take on the Bright and Bold Challenge

Using these colors, I created this simple card...

I made the flower from a strip of black satin ribbon and had a jewel brad as center. The flourish stamp is 7Gypsies and the sentiment is from American Crafts. backround paper is Sassafraslas, had some stickles on the flowers to have some shiny details....and rhinestones are from Kaisercraft.  I recently acquired the lace trim and I am planning to create with it more.

So I hope you like the card today, and maybe you could create your own cards based on the color combos. Just check them all at Moxie Fab. You will be blown away by the prize they have prepared for one lucky winner...a Gypsy, a Cricut Express and 7 cricut cartridges....a copy of the Color Inspirations and
also be published in the July/August 2011 issue of Paper Crafts magazine.

A preview of the grand prize:

Wouldn'y you love to create your own card and join the fun? Go girls!

Good day! Happy creating and please leave some love....

And, oh boy! I am very happy to announce (drum roll please......)  that I am now a member of SC Design Team (January-June 2011) I am sooo happy! and not to mention , very excited of what will going to happen in the next 6 months of my DT term. It's my first to be in a DT (so that explains how excited I am...) I will be part of the Challenge Team over at SC so, I am inviting you all to join us over there and I am sure that you'll enjoy every challenges we'll be preparing for you!

So for this special hop, we are asked to make a paper project from this sketch:

What I like about this sketch is the use of mini-pictures which is currently my style..
And here is what I came up with...

I kept my layout clean and simple...just using some glimmer mist at the background.  The use of paper strips made the background complete and just add a good amount of color. I fussy cut some glittered flower from a patterned paper for embellishment..nice and easy! If you have noticed, most of my layouts are graced by butterflies...and I love making butterfly traces from glitter glue, rhinestones, etc..and in this LO I used pearls.

So there it is..hope you like it!

And for the chance to win some sweet stuff....

1. One person who leaves a comment on all the blogs in the hop will get a chance to win the new Spring Market collection from Webster's Page, including chipboard button and twine.
