A "Thank You" Card

Hi again! Maybe you are wondering why I have another post today..It's what I call Posting Marathon! hah! No one says it's bad to have several posts for a day..so I'm doing it so..haha!

To be serious, I should have posted this one yesterday but the electricity came down and I have nothing to do but sigh..thinking..."I'm a blogger, and I have this really strong mood to blog today..why, in so many times in this particular day..why does it have to be now that this "nice" electrical thingy be done?" *lol*

So for today (again!) I would like to share to you a card I specially done for the Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Challenges over at Moxie Fab World.  Maybe you are looking for some card challenges, I suggest you visit Cath in her nice little blog-o.

This card is for the "Thank You" card challenge....

Lately, I learned how to make my cards simple and just using minimal stuff to complete one.  For this card, I decided to use my Hero Arts Dots Background using Versa Mark Ink in Magenta...not the typical patterned paper backgrounds I used to do. I adhered a pink cardstock strip for a simple layer and stamped a sentiment also from Hero Arts..For accent, I used a glittery flower sticker, added a button for center and finish off with a transparent butterfly.

I know you had enough of me today.(wink)!  Have a nice day ahead...Please leave some love!

A Card Challenge

Happy Friday everyone! How are you today? Did you do any crafty project lately? Well for me, I've been busy with the contest I told you about in my earlier post and some card challenges I sooooo love to try every week.

Have you visited the Moxie Fab World lately? Well,if you haven't yet why don't you stop by over there and fill yourself with soooo muuuccchhh inspiration to start you crafting today. And also Cath is having this wonderful challenges over there to celebrate the release of their new Card Creations issue--The Favorite Occasions.

Also, I have seen this card challenge over at Get Sketchy and thought I'd use the nice sketch they have there..If you want a dose of a nice card sketches with a challenge to go with it..you should go over their site and spark up your creating mood! For this challenge, I am using their sketch # 67 right here...

So for today, I am sharing to you this nice little card I made for Card Creations--Favorite Occasion; ALL Occasion Challenge..

Presenting......

Would you agree with me if I say that this card is "lovely"? Simple but charming...and sooo easy to make..remember those rolled papers flowers I showed you on my earlier post? It's the same technique I used here but just cut  this one with a scalloped scissor..making it cuter than the first ones I showed you...
I sprayed some glimmer mist before adhering the butterfly with foam tape to make it look like flying from the row of flowers..and see those butterfly trace? I used Basic Grey pearls. The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts and used a black ink from Versa Mark.

here's for a closer look...

Thanks for stopping by today! And why not try these challenges yourself? You will never go wrong with a nice sketch and a wonderful theme! Please leave some love!

A "Fantasy" Park

Hi everyone! I'd like to share this LO I did just last night (the one that kept me busy and missed day 2 of 'Tis The Season Blog Hop) I am particularly proud of this LO because it's one of my entries for a contest which I hope would give me a post as a DT in one of the sites I frequent. Well, I'm praying for it. But if it will not be for me yet, it will just be ok. The important thing is, I tried my luck! LOL!

So here's the LO I'm talking about....

The rule of the contest is, to have a makeover of an old LO. May it be changing the color theme or the layout but mainly using the same picture.

For a closer look on details...

Here is the original LO I chose to have do a makeover...

My makeover is from a graphic LO, I made my updated version with a FANTASY style.making a "fantasy" park which fits the picture..What a HUGE makeover! What do you think? would love to hear from you...

Thank you for stopping by today....hope you have a great day!

All in all I kept my card simple..with my handwriting as sentiment. (I have a cofession....I use my handwriting for Christmas sentiments because I haven't got myself any Christmas sentiment stamps yet! yaiks! haha!)

'Tis The Season Blog Hop--Day 1

Hi everyone!  It's December already and it means that all of us are going to be busy as a bee when it comes to preparing for the Holidays..

This particular December also happens to be a great month for me because I was able to sign myself for a Blog Hop! Yes, indeed! A BLOG HOP! My first ever blog hop..so isn't that a great thing to be excited about!  This hop was particularly organized by Iva. I am sooo grateful that I met her in one of the blogs I am visiting, opening an opportunity for me to join the hop.  So if you want to start the Blog Hop just go to Iva's site and you'll be on the right track. And maybe you've seen the little project that Ellen Mandris did before you come here...are you enjoying already?

So for today, I will be sharing a nice little project that you can do this holiday season. I've been wanting to do this project since October but wasn't able to do until this Hop.

I love gift boxes..especially one that is handmade. This one was sooo easy to make and will not take you half an hour to assemble everything. The box measures 4 inches wide and 2 inches deep, perfect for those little presents for Christmas. I used this amazing template which is very easy to use.

For this project you will only be needing 2 patterned papers (or 1 patterned, one solid as I did here) some nice ribbon, little ornaments, ink and stamp. I used Hero Arts on this one and some Martha Stewart rhinestones.  If you want your box to be bigger, you'll just have to add up some inches to the original measurement in the pattern. Surely, I will be making more of this...hope you try it too!

My next project is a little nice card using a non-Holiday (Christmas) stamp from Hero Arts (starburst).

I first wanted to have a nice focal point in my card so I decided to use the Starburst stamp from Hero Arts.  I stamped the image thrice with a Brilliance Ink in Pink, then cut the first image in full, then cutting the second image leaving behind the outer layer, and cutting the last image with only the inner layer of the flower. I adhered every layer with a foam tape, finishing it off with a red pebble...and viola! A nice layered flower!

I also used some pearls from Basic Grey for accent. The leaves stamp is from Fancy Pants..and you may notice the sentiments..haha! My own handwriting!  My own personal touch.

Hope you liked my projects. Please leave some love at the comments section. It would be greatly appreciated.

So for the next step on this Blog Hop, go visit Molly Ambriz and I'm sure she prepared something nice for you today.

Thank you for stopping by. God Bless and have a nice Blog Hopping Day!

A Scraplift

Hi there!

I was very happy to share that I already found a group that caters to my scrapbooking  madness..it's the Scrapbooking Challenges!  I love how they issue new challenges each week! It makes me want to jump into my stuff and start creating all the time...and not to mention the support and appreciation I get from the members...heh! definitely MY GROUP!

So for a scraplift challenge they have over there..(every week, Pamela Young selects an LO from the gallery and make it as model to scraplift..might as well try it yourself!) I created this LO...

(You will see the original LO if you head over at scrapbooking challenges..)

Here's a shot for a closer look...

I created this LO for less than 45 mins. So easy! And I looove how it turned out...really simple and nice...
The flowers and mushrooms are all rub-ons. See how I made some folds on my ribbon..it's my fave technique lately...just adds dimension. I added some butterflies and   rhinestones to complete the LO.

Hope you like it. Thanks!

My sweetie

Hello there!

I noticed how time flies so fast! As I was looking at my daughter earlier today, I saw a naughty little girl and not the sweet baby I have come to know of her...She now utter words clearly and can do little things on her own...Oh! She's not a baby anymore...

So I thought of sharing this LO I made using a picture when she was about to tun one...my little baby, growing up so fast...

What I like about this LO is that, it's simplicity. I love how the picture captured the moment when she was that little chubby baby girl that everyone adored, that cling to her mommy because she still can't stand on her own, hugs a lot and laugh often...

Now, can anybody tell me how I could stop TIME for awhile, just so,to cherish my little girl's sweetness?

Thanks for dropping by today...

What I love about this particular LO is that, I had the opportunity to use many techniques here...(I had this LO from a class, led by Ms. Iris Babao-Uy)...

We used distressing inks,to stamp the flourish image (Prima) and color the branches and leaves..and also we used paint dabbers to color the chipboard frame..

The banner is from sassafras..finish it off with some punched out butterflies, cut out flowers and glittery chipboard flowers.

A Birthday Card

Just want to share this littlesweet card I made for the birthday of my sister-in-law..I actually made this last April, although it may be late...still I want to share it with you.
  Here it is....

My starting point in making this particular card was the white flower...as you may have noticed, it resembles a doily.
I made this flower from a lace ribbon I have in my stash. I am very proud of what it turned out to be. To make it more dramatic, I added a little brown flower for layering and fastened them with a gem brad.  I am proud to say that I made my own embellishment. And may I mention that I love how the aqua paper made the whole card so interesting.

That's it for now. Hope you likedmy card today.

Enjoy the weekend!

Here it is...

I love the girly look of this LO and how all of the elements play their part to enhance the look of this page. For the title, I used paint and letter foam stamps...also notice how I used label stickers for my journaling...I love the simplicity of this LO.

I was browsing on my flckr account (which i wasn't able to do for a long time) when I saw this particular pic. It was taken during a photo session of Lilo for her first birthday...and now that she is about to turn two on May 6 (Yey!) I thought I'd make a post on it.

Actually, this is the first good picture we had together. ( although not so good because she's not in her good mood that day) But I will forever cherish this one...I did an LO on thid pic...I just have to take a good shot of it...I'll ppost it as soon as I have the shots.

To my baby...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! when you grow up, you'll be able to read mommy's blog...and know that mommy loves you very much! You are such a blessing..I love you anak!

Hello everyone! I'm so excited today as I make this entry...it's another challenge I played along at Card Patterns. I am always looking forward to the new patterns they are offering over at their blog for crafters like us to work our imaginations with.

And also, before I proceed with the card I made, I would just want to say many many thanks to these wonderful ladies who where the first to give some comments on my work (Bundle of Joy). You ladies inspired me more to ransack my supplies and dive into creating more cards...Thanks a lot!

Now, let's talk crafty business...The patterns to be used for this week's challenge is this....

And Here is my baby....

I like the color combo i used in this particular card...I decided, instead of using ribbon for the accent below, I stamped a flourish image tomake it more dramatic. i am recently into using chipboard accent and i love, love, love this particular butterfly accent.

I opt for satin flowers for added texture and a nice little gem brad and sticky pearls to finish.

So that's it! Hope you likemy work..can't wait for the next pattern.

Hello everyone! I know I've been away for a while...We had a two-week vacation in my in-laws and I  wasn't able to log in and make some updates...so as a comeback, I decided to join this challenge over at Card Patterns..I just recently discovered this wonderful site and got inspired at their challenge. They issue a weekly challenge at their blog, so if you are looking for creative umph...I suggest you check out their blog....

Poppy Seed Challenge #2

Hello again! Well, I'm into my crafty mood these days and thought, it would be nice to join some online challenges...and one of the challenges I am looking forward to is the Poppy Seed Challenge from Lisa Jhonsons..I like her challenge a lot because she sets up 3 seeds (elements) every challenge, which makes it easy for the participants to create their projects...

Here is the challenge....

And here is my card...

(sorry for the bad image..)
For this card, I thought of using various shades of green..afterall, green is my fave color! I love how it all fell into harmony...For the background, I layered three pieces of paper, two of which came from the same patterned paper and the middle piece was a plain paper which I embossed. I stamped the sentiment in a die cutted tag, adhere a foam flower and an eyelet. For the embossed flower sticker, I used a medium sized button with a pink ricrac through it as the center of the flower...

So, that's it. Hope you like my work..and be one of the Bloomers!

TUESDAY TRIGGER at Moxie Fab World

Hi there everyone! Well, nice to start a new blog here in blogspot...and to start of I decided to post a card I specifically made as an entry to TUESDAY TRIGGER...an online challenge over at The Moxie Fab World...I've been following this site for a while now, and I must say...they always spark my mind for nice ideas!

For this week's Trigger, the participants are asked to make a project using this picture as inspiration...the texture, colors and themes are all here. Just have to use some creativity to finish a project...

And so...from those lovely colors (notice the design in the pillow)..I come up with this particular card here...

I love how this card turned out to be such a niceone...Notice how the bird made the card alive. I incorporated some handwriting at the stamped sentiment just to give it a more personal touch. And I am now into using this lace ribbon I recently purchased..how it added softness in the card. And the red satin ribbon just added the needed boosting for color.

Well, that's it! Hope you liked my work...If you have time, please leave a comment. Thanks!
